Wore it through two weeks of field training. Forgot it was even there until someone asked about it. Light, stays in place, and does exactly what it claims.

Even at a 100G hit, the HALO collar managed to reduce rotational acceleration by nearly a third — a feat previously thought impossible with wearable gear.

THE PROBLEM
Brain Injuries in the Military
Military personnel face significant risk of traumatic brain injury (TBI) from head impacts, vehicle incidents, and blast waves. Traditional helmets address linear force but rotational acceleration is now understood as the primary driver of TBI. When the head rotates rapidly on impact, the brain continues moving inside the skull. That differential motion is what causes damage.
CANADIAN MILITARY PARTNERSHIP
AEXOS has partnered with the Government of Canada's Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP) to conduct field testing and validation with the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) and Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM).

how it works
Dynamic Neck Stabilization Technology (DNST)
HALO pre-loads the cervical spine before impact. The collar activates the trapezius muscles, creating a 'human helmet effect' that reduces the brain's movement within the skull, the primary cause of concussion.
01
At Rest
Soft, pliable foam moves naturally with your head. Full range of motion. Zero restriction.
02
On Impact
SmithFlex™ molecules instantly cross-link and stiffen under high-rate loading, in milliseconds.
03
Energy Dispersed
Force is spread across the entire collar, away from the brain. Rotational acceleration dramatically reduced.

WE ANSWERED
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Halo is built for any contact or high-impact sport, including football, hockey, lacrosse, rugby, and more.
Yes. The Halo is designed for universal helmet compatibility and can also be worn without one.
It dissipates both linear and angular acceleration forces, the two primary causes of neck and brain injury, reducing stress by up to 40%.
Not at all. The Halo supports your neck while allowing a full, unrestricted range of motion.
Use the size guide on the product page. The Halo is available in Men, Women, and Youth fits across sizes S to XXL.
The technology has been peer-reviewed and tested at the University of Waterloo and Western University.
